Staying safe in crowds
- Agree on a meeting point with your group before entering a crowded pandal, in case phones fail.
- Put a card with a parent's phone number in children's pockets.
- Keep to the marked one-way queues and follow volunteers' and police instructions.
- Carry water and a small amount of cash. Card and UPI payments may be slow near busy pandals.
- If a crowd surges, move sideways out of the flow and avoid pushing towards exits.
- Late-night metro timings change during Puja. Check Metro Railway Kolkata's announcements.
Toilets, water & pharmacies
Each pandal page lists mapped public toilets, drinking water, pharmacies and hospitals nearby, from OpenStreetMap. We don't claim a pandal has accessible facilities unless a source confirms it.
