How PujoPath worksআমাদের কথা
PujoPath is an independent, non-official guide to Kolkata's Durga Puja. It helps you find pandals, plan a realistic route and keep your plan handy on the day.
Where our information comes from
- Pandal locations: OpenStreetMap via Nominatim (© OpenStreetMap contributors, ODbL). Each pin says whether it marks the pandal itself, its venue, or an approximate spot.
- Metro stations: OpenStreetMap via the Overpass API.
- Photos: openly licensed images from Wikimedia Commons, credited on every image. They show past years, not this year's pandals.
- History: only where we can cite a source (mostly Wikipedia and UNESCO), linked on the page.
- Festival dates: Kolkata panjika dates as reported from Drik Panchang. Admins can update them.
- Food & facilities: live OpenStreetMap data. Opening hours are unverified.
- Crowd levels: only voluntary, time-stamped visitor reports that expire after 90 minutes. No GPS tracking, no official feed, no predictions.
What we don't do
We don't invent pandals, ratings, reviews, themes, timings, accessibility facilities or live data. Anything we can't confirm says “Not confirmed”. Route times are clearly labelled estimates.
Reference site audit
This project was briefed to match the features of kolkata.verpandalecel.app. On 13 Oct 2026 that domain did not resolve (DNS: non-existent domain), so none of its features could be inspected. PujoPath was built from a full feature specification instead.
